Sumo Run is an annual 5km charity fun run in inflatable Sumo Suits. The event previously set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people running in Sumo Suits! This year, not only will we be stomping around Battersea Park, but our friends up North will be able to head to our first ever Edinburgh event!
When is it?
Sumo Run 2014 will take place on two sunny (hopefully) weekend mornings in July 2014.
EDINBURGH – The Meadows – Saturday 12 July
LONDON – Battersea Park – Sunday 27 July
Where is it?
Sumo Run – London, takes place in the picturesque Battersea Park, London. Rather fittingly, the park is home to the famous Japanese Peace Pagoda, most of which was built by Nichidatsu Fujii (1885-1985) a Buddhist Monk from Japan.
Sumo Run – Edinburgh, takes place in the Meadows – a huge green open space with tree-lined paths. Perfect for a picnic lunch afterwards to take the weight off your feet.
How long is it?
A nice, green, flat, 5km (That’s about 3 miles for you non-metric folks).
