Konnichiwa!

Righto, let's go!
Hello! I'm Steph. Whilst searching for one source which communicates all Japanese events occuring in London, I discovered Vanessa and her exciting plans for JapaneseLondon.com. I want very much to help fill what was a huge niche, and applied to research and write about Japanese sources; so here I am!
I've been interested in Japanese culture since I was 14 and read my first traditional Japanese poem. Seven years later, and after a month long trip around Honshu and Shikoku, I'm now not only an avid reader of Japanese literature but a fanatic about most things Japanese. I look forward to the next opportunity to visit the country, and until then will rely on London and cheap books to access the culture.
Playing brass instruments, trying to transform ideas into poetry, being very bad at sketching, and wondering what do with my life are also hobbies of mine.

Thanks Steph! I am really looking forward to more great articles from you about Japanese stuff in London.
You can read Steph's article on the garden party in Hammersmith Park's JapaneseGarden here:

I just wanted to say somewhere, somehow that the haiku about dropping the eyebrow pencil down the well is brilliant. It made me laugh.
hola, I'm amy
just wondering if anyone knows any good cheap japanese places to eat - preferably in the affordable student range?
