Beautiful beaches as well as stunning natural wonders and scenery are associated with the Hawaiian island chain, but there is so much more to this Pacific paradise than these and Pearl Harbor.  Hawaii is also the only American State to have had a working royal palace.  This lecture will include 1) the connections between British and Hawaiian monarchs, 2) Japanese immigration to Hawaii and 3) the Japanese experience (challenges and accomplishments) in Hawaii from arrival to the present day.    No tickets will be issued.  The event is £9 for Japan Society members and £15 for non-members. Included, there is also an optional tour of the Freemasons’ Hall at 5.15PM for 5.30PM .
