London Design Biennale which opens in September at Somerset House with over 30 countries presenting newly commissioned works exploring the theme ‘Utopia by Design’.

The Japan Foundation will represent Japan at the first London Design Biennale. The inaugural Biennale will feature artist Yasuhiro Suzuki, whose installation titled A Journey Around the Neighbourhood Globe will invite visitors to change the way they look at everyday things.
The Japanese designer Yasuhiro Suzuki looks at everyday life and how the way we perceive the world alters it. His work will create spatial structures made of objects of various sizes, drawings and animation. The installation looks to shift our focus from everyday life to considering the wider world.
